2012 was a big year for social media: Facebook became a public company, and its IPO was one of the biggest in technology history, Pinterest rose to power as one of the top social networking sites, and US President, Barack Obama held the first all virtual interview with American citizens using G+ Hangouts.
Whoever said social media was dead, may have spoken too soon, because 2012 has definitely shown that this is not the case.
As we move into 2013, we want to help marketers understand that implementing social media as part of their overall marketing strategy, isn't just about following a trend. It's about connecting and engaging with your ideal consumers then converting them into loyal customers. It's about expanding your reach and efficiently building your brands' awareness. And, most importantly, it's about reducing your cost of sales by providing information that consumers are already seeking out.
